Tudor 1/12th scale
The centrepiece of a merchant's town house, or country manor house, this fireplace preceded the large scale importing of marble and shows how local stone continued to be used for private building. A personal touch was often added in the form of coats of arms, insignia such as oak leaves, roses, lilies or even the initials of the head of the household.
This fireplace is made from Monks Park Bath stone and is pictured here with a the hearth made of brick, but is supplied with a hearth made of the same stone as the fireplace.
