A status symbol of nineteenth century aspiration this chimney piece has it all: coat of arms, blind tracery, castellations, pilasters, stylised leaves, and even bears. Made from Richmont Cream limestone which was used extensively for internal carved stonework in churches and large country houses, this harks back to the medieval period and echoes Pugin in its design.
