The centrepiece of a merchent's town house, or country manor house, this fireplace preceded the large scale importing of marble and shows how local stone continued to be used for private building. A personal touch was often added in the form of coats of arms, insignia such as oak leaves, roses, lilies or even the initials of the head of the household.

This fireplace is made from Monks Park Bath stone with a the hearth made of brick, but these were often made of the same stone as the fireplace. A Limestone hearth and delivery is included in the price.

Please note that delivery is two weeks from placing an order for this design.
