Gavin has worked as a stonemason since completing his apprenticeship in 1982.

When Gavin and his wife were buying furniture for their daughter's doll's house they couldn't find a real stone or marble fireplace, so he decided to employ his skills as a stonemason in miniature.

These fireplaces are the real thing; he uses the same raw, natural materials, and his working methods and attention to detail is just as it would be for a full size design.
